Nigerians to pay more for Star, Gulder, others as NB Plc unveils price increase for brands
Nigerian Breweries Plc has unveiled a price increase for some of its renowned brands, including Star and Gulder, signaling that consumers will soon pay more for their favorite beverages.
The company cites the surge in importation costs as the driving force behind this decision.
The official announcement was made through a letter dated February 12, titled “Price review notification,” authored by Lekan Awosanya, Zonal Business Manager (West).
According to the letter, the price adjustment is scheduled to take effect from February 19, 2024, and is deemed necessary due to the continuous rise in input costs.
Nigerian Breweries Plc reassured its partners and customers that existing open orders placed before 00:00 hrs on Monday, February 19, 2024, and fully funded will be honoured at the current prices.
The company acknowledged the collaborative efforts of its partners and expresses gratitude for their commitment to the partnership.
The announcement comes as the second price increase within a six-month period for Nigerian Breweries Plc, with the last adjustment occurring in August 2023.
