Why We Granted Bobrisky Bail – EFCC
The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission has confirmed that the commission has granted bail to Nigerian crossdresser and internet sensational, Idris Okuneye better known as Bobrisky.
Speaking with TheCable, Dele Oyewale, the EFCC spokesperson, disclosed that Bobrisky has been granted bail but she is yet to met the conditions.
He said, “Yes. He has been granted administrative bail. Normally when you take in a suspect lawfully, there are some thresholds as to the number of days he can be held in custody.
“So, we are only complying with the law. We have offered him administrative bail. He has not met the bail conditions. If he meets the bail conditions today he will go home.”
Recall that Bobrisky was arrested at Pinnock Estate in Lagos State on Wednesday over currency mutilation and abuse of the Naira.
Bobrisky was accused of abusing the naira notes by spraying them.
The commission earlier revealed that Bobrisky would soon be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
However, rumours have it that despite granted bail, Bobyrisky is yet to fufil all conditions for his release. Hence, will still be in the custody of efcc tonight.
