One of the beaded crown-wearing Ibadan high chiefs and elevated Obas, the Osi Balogun Olubadan, Oba Lateef Adebimpe is dead.
A palace source who doesn’t want name in print until official statement is issued confirmed this to westernmirror.com.ng on Wednesday evening.
Oba Adebimpe died on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, eleven days after the coronation of the new Olubadan of Ibadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
His death occurred 11 days after coronation of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan-land by Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde.
Cause of his death could not be ascertained as at time of filing this report but the deceased passed on at a well advanced age.
