The Chairman, House Committee on Security & Strategy, Honorable Dawood Olalere D-Al-Ameen representing Ibadan North West State Constituency at the 10th Assembly has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the security agencies in Oyo State for their cooperation and professionalism during the recent protest in the State.
Speaking through a statement by the Soro Soke Media on Monday, Honorable Olalere commended all the security agencies for their tireless efforts in maintaining law and order during the protest. He noted that their cooperation and collaboration with the State government helped to prevent the protest from escalating into violence.
“I want to use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the security personnels in Oyo State for their cooperation and professionalism during the recent protest. Their efforts helped to ensure that the protest was peaceful and did not result in any loss of life or property,” the medical laboratory expert said.
He specifically commended the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, the Director of State Security Services (SSS), and the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun Corp for their leadership and commitment to maintaining peace and security in the State.
Honorable Dawood also appreciated the protesters for their peaceful conduct, saying that their actions demonstrated their commitment to democratic values and the rule of law.
The Chairman, House Committee on Security & Strategy, assured the people of Oyo State that the state government led by His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde would continue to work with the security agencies to ensure that the State remains peaceful and secure.
“The administration of our governor, His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde will continue to work with the security agencies to ensure that our State remains a safe haven for all citizens. We appreciate the cooperation and support of the people of Oyo State and assure them that we will do everything possible to maintain peace and security in the state,” Honorable D-Al-Ameen said.
