Chelsea vs Man City: I don’t want to concede four goals – Maresca

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has made it clear that he is determined not to see his team concede four goals in their upcoming Premier League clash against Man City at Stamford Bridge this Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the highly anticipated match, the Italian tactician revealed that he rewatched last season’s dramatic 4-4 draw between the two sides, a game that saw Chelsea’s Cole Palmer score a last-minute penalty to secure a point.

Reflecting on that encounter, Maresca emphasized the importance of tightening his team’s defense to avoid a similar outcome.

“I was watching [the 4-4 match between Chelsea and Man City last season at home.

“It was fantastic, although as a manager I don’t like conceding goals. I don’t want to concede four goals,” Maresca, who previously worked as Guardiola’s assistant, told the UK Guardian.

The game against City will be Maresca’s first competitive game in charge of the Blues.
