#80,000 Minimum wage: Hon D Al-Ameen praises Gov Makinde, urges workers to reciprocate gesture

Hon. Dr. Dawood Olalere popularly known as D-Al-Ameen representing Ibadan Northwest State Constituency has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the 80,000 naira minimum wage, a significant development for workers in Oyo State. This gesture is expected to improve the standard of living for employees across the State.

Governor Makinde has demonstrated his commitment to workers’ welfare since he became the Governor in 2019.

For instance, he previously promised to pay workers 25,000 naira and pensioners 15,000 naira as a wage award to mitigate the effects of subsidy removal . This move showed his willingness to support the people of Oyo State during challenging economic times.

Gov Makinde has also been paying 13th Month salary for all categories of workers and pensioners in Oyo State since he came to office as Gov of Oyo State.

By praising Governor Makinde, Hon. Dr. Dawood Olalere is urging workers to reciprocate by dedicating themselves more to their duties, ensuring productivity and efficiency in their respective roles.

This call to action aims to foster a positive work environment and promote mutual benefits between the government and its employees in the State.
