Oyo State ₦80,000 minimum wage: A Testament to Governor Makinde’s Commitment to Workers –Wale Canada

Hon. Saminu Riliwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, representing Atisbo/Saki-East State Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Health at the Oyo state house of assembly, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration for its pro-worker policies.

In a statement released to news men via his aide, Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, Hon. Wale Canada praised the governor’s commitment to workers’ welfare, saying: “Governor Makinde’s dedication to the well-being of Oyo State workers is unparalleled. The approval of ₦80,000 minimum wage, timely salary payments, and consequential adjustments demonstrate his pro-worker stance.”

Hon. Wale Canada also commended the governor for prioritizing the welfare of state pensioners and the ongoing mass recruitment scheme across ministries.

Some of Governor Makinde’s notable achievements which positions him to be one of the best governor the state ever had:

_Completion of the 65 km Moniya-Ijaiye-Iseyin Road, 34.85 km Oyo-Iseyin Road
_76.67 km Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso Road
_Upgrade of General Hospital Aremo, Ibadan.
_Equiping of 264 primary healthcare centers. _Recruitment of 7,000 teachers into Oyo State public primary schools and 100 caregivers for special need schools
_Since Engineer Makinde came on board in 2019, Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state has received a tremendous growth.
_And other developmental strives.

He further said that Governor Makinde’s administration has demonstrated its commitment to the welfare of Oyo State workers and residents and urges the workers to payback in a positive response towards their delivery services and economic development of the state.
