“I Wasn’t Paid Enough”: Portable Explains Why He Missed Ibadan Show

Portable Reveals Reason for Absence at Taiye Currency’s Show in Ibadan.

Controversy has trailed the absence of popular Nigerian artist Portable at Taiye Currency’s show in Ibadan, with the artist revealing that he was not paid his required fee.

In a recent statement, Portable disclosed that he had charged the organizers of the show, a fee of N5 million for his performance. However, the organizers only sent N1 million, which Portable deemed insufficient.

The artist further revealed that his usual fee for performances is N10 million, but he had decided to reduce the charge to N5 million as a favor to Taiye Currency, who is also an artist.

Portable also stated that he chose not to attend the show because he didn’t want to go to a place where he wasn’t liked.

This revelation contradicts the earlier statement by the organizers, who claimed that they had told Portable not to perform due to security concerns.

The controversy has sparked debate among fans and industry observers, with some questioning the organizers’ handling of the situation and others criticizing Portable’s demands.
