3 States With Lowest Prices In January

The recent rebasing of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Nigeria has significantly altered the inflation landscape. As of January 2025, the three states with the lowest prices, based on the new CPI data, are:

Bauchi: After previously holding the highest inflation rate, Bauchi’s all-items inflation rate dropped to 10.06%, with food inflation at 12.79%.

Kogi: Following the rebasing, Kogi recorded an all-items inflation rate of 11.34% and food inflation of 14.12%.

Kaduna: This state reported an all-items inflation rate of 12.56%, with food inflation at 13.45%.

These changes reflect a broader adjustment in how inflation is measured and reported across Nigeria, highlighting shifts in consumer spending patterns and cost structures following the CPI rebasing by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)248.
