Champions League: Arsenal cut Real Madrid to size with aggregate win

Arsenal beat Real Madrid 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu and 5-1 on aggregate to reach their first Champions League semi-final in 16 years.

The victory for Mikel Arteta’s side sets up a Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal the lead in the second half after having an early penalty saved before Vinicius Junior struck for Madrid.

Gabriel Martinelli scored a late winner on the night as the Gunners ended Real Madrid’s reign as defending champions.
