The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has congratulated Christians across the nation on the occasion of this year Easter and urged citizens to use the period to pray and show love to one another, which is a cardinal part of the Christian faith, as Jesus Christ did.
Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja noted that the historic death and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the death for the atonement of mankind’s sins is indeed a priceless sacrifice made by God to all mankind.
In a release made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim the PDP chieftain, Arapaja further called on all Christians to pray for the country to overcome all her insecurity challenges, which includes kidnappings, banditry, herdsmen attacks, hunger and economic woes caused by misgovernance of the federal government led administration.
“The celebration of Easter is a sign of man’s gratitude to God on the salvation of mankind, and to also strengthen the christian faith.
I therefore called on all citizens not to despair, even in the face of hopelessness, but also use the occasion of Easter to rekindle their hope, remain prayerful and redouble their trust in God for a better society.
