Abass Oloko Berates Oluwo of Iwo Over Disrespectful Remarks Against Olubadan

A prominent Mogaji of Ibadan, Abass Oloko has condemned the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, for his disrespectful comments against the revered stool of Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Oloko’s reaction stem from remarks deemed reckless and provocative, particularly concerning boundary disputes and interactions with other traditional leaders like the Olubadan of Ibadan.

He berated the monarch for his shameful public conduct.

“Oluwo of Iwo should be cautioned by the authority in Osun State. He has devalued and debased the traditional institutions of Yoruba land by issuing public threats and insults to the Olubadan of Ibadanland by insisting that the boundary between Oyo/Osun States is “Ogburo” instead of Odo Oba.

“If his memory serves him right, he should not forget that Oloye Lamidi Adelabu son, Oloye Akeem Adedibu, became Bobagunwa of Ogburo land.

“I, Mogaji Abass Oloko is issuing the final warning to Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, not to overstep his boundary by insulting Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty,Oba Owolabi Olakulehin Ige 1.

“I’m warning Oluwo of Iwo to tender a public apology within 14 days and steer clear on the boundary dispute, failure to do so will attract dire consequences.

“All your predecessors never looked Ibadan monarch in the eye, how dare you”?
