As he marks two years of impactful representation at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Olalere D-Al-Ameen, the Member representing Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency, has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Seyi Makinde and the good people of his constituency for their unwavering support and partnership.
In a statement released by SoroSoke Media to commemorate the milestone, Hon. D-Al-Ameen described his journey so far in the 10th Assembly led by the amazing and wonderful Speaker, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin as one driven by commitment to good governance, legislative excellence, and grassroots development. He emphasized that every achievement recorded under his stewardship is a reflection of collective effort and divine grace.
“I am immensely grateful to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, whose visionary leadership and inclusive governance model have provided an enabling environment for lawmakers to thrive,” he said. “The progress we’ve made in Ibadan NorthWest would not have been possible without his continued support and the cooperation of our constituents.”
Since assuming office in June 2023, Hon. D-Al-Ameen has spearheaded several legislative initiatives and developmental projects aimed at improving the lives of his constituents. These include educational support schemes, empowerment programs for youths and women, and consistent community engagement with development.
He also cited the passage of people-centered motions and bills as part of his core legislative contributions, ensuring that the voice of Ibadan NorthWest remains active on the floor of the Assembly.
While dedicating his achievements to the people of his constituency, the lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to transparency, accessibility, and responsive leadership.
“The real heroes of these achievements are the people; my constituents and my party People Democratic Party (PDP) who trusted me with their mandate and stood by me at every step. I dedicate every progress we’ve made to them and to the future we are building together,” he said.
Hon. D-Al-Ameen assured residents of Ibadan NorthWest that the coming months would witness even greater focus on community-driven projects and strategic advocacy for state-backed development.
As the lawmaker enters the second half of the tenure, he calls for continued prayers, support, and unity among constituents, stressing that only through collective action can sustainable progress be achieved.
