As Muslims across the globe welcome the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447, the Honourable Member representing Atisbo/Saki East State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Saminu Rilwan Gbadamosi, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in his constituency, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.

In a message commemorating the sacred occasion, Hon. Gbadamosi highlighted the deep spiritual significance of Hijrah — the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) from Makkah to Madinah — describing it as a timeless lesson in faith, sacrifice, and trust in Allah’s divine wisdom.

“The Hijrah is not just a historical event; it is a powerful reminder of the courage, perseverance, and unwavering belief in Allah demonstrated by the Prophet (SAW),” Hon. Gbadamosi stated. “As we begin this new Islamic year, I pray that it brings peace, progress, renewed faith, and countless blessings to every home.”

He encouraged Muslims to use the occasion as an opportunity for personal and collective reflection, urging them to draw closer to their purpose, remain steadfast in truth, and strengthen their commitment to Almighty Allah.
“May this year bring you divine ease, may your families enjoy unity, may your prayers be answered, and may your journey through life be guided and blessed just as Allah granted victory and mercy in the original Hijrah,” he said.
On behalf of himself, his family, and the good people of Atisbo/Saki East, Hon. Gbadamosi wished all Muslims continued strength, good health, and prosperity in the year ahead.
“Happy Hijrah 1447,” he concluded. “May joy, hope, and divine favour be your portion in this new season.”
