In a grand display of unity, devotion, and youth empowerment, the National Council of Muslim Youth Organizations (NACOMYO), Oyo State Chapter, hosted the 1447 Hijrah Grand Rally, drawing thousands of faithful and dignitaries from across the state to celebrate the Islamic new year and the strides of Muslim youth in da’wah and nation-building.
A highlight of the event was the special presentation of the “Dawah Financier Per Excellence” award to Alhaji Hon. Dr. Dawood Akanni Olalere D-Al-Ameen, the Member Representing Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The award recognized his consistent and impactful financial support towards Islamic propagation (da’wah), youth development, and healthcare advancement. Dr. Olalere, who also serves as the Aare Musulumi of Ekotedoland and Chief Consultant of D-Al-Ameen Group of Medical Diagnosis Center, was lauded for his unshakable commitment to the Muslim community and humanitarian services.
In his remarks, Alh. Dawood Bolaji Afolabi, the State Coordinator of NACOMYO, described Dr. Olalere as “a shining light for Muslim youths and a dependable pillar in the pursuit of religious enlightenment and social development.”
Dr. Olalere, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to NACOMYO for the honor, reaffirming his commitment to youth development, health outreach, and da’wah activities.
The event, filled with lectures, Islamic chants (nasheed), and cultural displays, underscored the relevance of the Hijrah calendar in the lives of Muslims and served as a platform for reflection, rededication, and celebration.
The NACOMYO 1447 Hijrah Grand Rally ended with prayers for peace, development, and religious harmony in Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
