The Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 10, Ibadan South East Local Government, Oyo State, convened a crucial meeting to deliberate on the way forward for the ward and to reinforce the unity, peace, and progress of the party in our local government and state.
The meeting, convened by Hon. Olushina Akinade (former Chief of Staff to the Ibadan South East Local Government and former PDP LGA Secretary), brought together party leaders, elders, executives, and faithful members to review the current state of the ward and reaffirm collective commitment to the PDP.
After robust deliberations, the meeting resolved as follows:
- Unflinching Support for PDP Leadership:
Ward 10 Stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their total loyalty and support for His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his visionary leadership and outstanding achievements in Oyo State. Similar support was expressed for Ambassador Taofeeq Arapaja, Hon. Dare Adeleke, Hon. Abass Agboworin, Hon. Abiodun Adedoja Ekòló (ÈRÈ), Hon. Fadipe, and other notable leaders. - Commitment to Party Unity:
The stakeholders condemned in strong terms any attempt to cause disaffection among party members or destabilize the party through frivolous social media write-ups or any other divisive means. Members were urged to remain calm, united, and focused on the collective success of the PDP in future elections. - Rejection of Power Tussle Narratives:
Contrary to unfounded rumours, the meeting clarified that there is no leadership crisis or power struggle within Ward 10 following the defection of Alhaji Abidikugu. All stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed Hon. Fadipe and Baba Jagun as the entrusted leaders to continue steering the affairs of the ward. - Commendation for Governor’s Achievements:
Speakers at the meeting applauded Governor Seyi Makinde’s strides in governance, infrastructure, education, and people-oriented programs, noting that these achievements have strengthened PDP’s position across the state. - Call for Focus on 2027 Elections:
Members were enjoined to maintain peace, uphold party discipline, and work towards strengthening the PDP’s grassroots structure in preparation for the next general elections.

Olasunkanmi Abiodun (former Special Adviser), Mr. Kola Olarinde (Ward Secretary), Mr. Azeez Bello (Ward PRO), Mr. Taiwo Ibrahim “Celica” (Ward Youth Leader), Mrs. Nike Lawal (Party Ex-official), Alhaji Musibau Amoo (Party Ex-official), zonal leaders from Zones 1–6, and numerous other committed stakeholders.
The Ward 10 PDP Stakeholders stand firm in their resolve to sustain unity, uphold the ideals of the party, and deliver continuous support for the present leadership at all levels.
