The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed the strength of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying the party is working to unite its stakeholders in order to present Nigerians with credible candidates in the coming years.
Governor Makinde stated this during a PDP Southern Zoning Consultative Summit held in Lagos.
He also disclosed that the meeting had the participation of 12 out of the 17 southern states represented in the PDP zoning committee, with governors, deputies, senators, House of Representatives members, and board of trustees BOT members.
On the efforts to reconcile aggrieved members, Governor Makinde assured that the party would reach out to them and the decisions of the party would be announced after the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Monday.
He emphasized that the coming days would reveal the outcomes of the meeting as the party intensifies consultation ahead of 2027.
