The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has commiserated with the Lawmaker that represents Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal constituency, Oyo State, Hon. Anthony Adebayo Adepoju over the death of his father, Pa (Dr.) Amos Ademola Adepoju whose death occurred in the early hours of today 28th August, 2025 at the age of 89 years.
In a condolence statement personally signed by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and made available to newsmen in Ibadan through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, he equally extended his condolence message to the political associates and the entire people of Ibadaland over the death of their patriarch, Pa Amos Adepoju.
Arapaja described the late political leader’s death as a very painful one considering his role as a pillar of support to his community and political landscape in the state.
He further described Pa Amos as a visionary leader whose legacy continues to shape the political and developmental trajectory of not only his community but the state as a whole.
“On behalf of the entire PDP in the South, I extend our condolences to the immediate family and the people of Ibarapa land over the demise of our father, grand father and great grandfather.
The deceased lived a fulfilled and purposeful life as a renowned academic, political and community leader.
As one of the founding members of our great party, PDP in 1998, he played a pivotal role and unifying force within the party and his wisdom and guidance left a lasting impact on the party and its members.
I pray for the repose of his soul and strength for his family especially Dr. Anthony Adepoju, his political associates, people of Ibarapa land and the entire members of PDP in the state.
May God grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” Arapaja said.
