Agidigbo FM 88.7 has emerged as the most listened-to radio station in Ibadan, topping Radio Garden’s ranking of popular stations as at Sept.9 , 2025. The platform, which tracks global radio listenership in real time, places the station ahead of other radio stations in the brown rusted roof city .
Fresh FM 105.9 and Lagelu FM 96.7 followed closely in second and third positions, while Splash FM 105.5 and Success 105.3 FM rounded out the top five. Other notable mentions in the city’s crowded airwaves include 32FM 94.9, IBR 92.5 Impact Business Radio, and Prince 89.7 FM.
Radio Garden’s popularity metrics are based on listener engagement, making the list a snapshot of what Ibadan residents are tuning into most frequently. The rankings highlight not just the dominance of household names like Fresh FM but also the growing influence of newer players such as Success FM, Almond FM and Tiwantiwa Radio which has rapidly climbed to the top spot out of 56 radio stations listed on the app.
The data reflects a dynamic shift in Ibadan’s radio landscape, showing how fresh programming, cultural relevance, and strong audience connection can sway listenership. For broadcasters, the results offer insights into changing audience tastes in a city known as Nigeria’s media hub outside Lagos.
