

The Chairman of the Oyo State Football Association (OYSFA), HRM Dr. Oba James Oluyemi Odeniran, has expressed gratitude to the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, for donating clothes to the home and away team seats at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
The donation, which is a gesture of goodwill and support for football development in Oyo State, was highly appreciated by Oba Odeniran. The OYSFA chairman described the commissioner’s initiative as a significant boost to the state’s sports infrastructure and a demonstration of her commitment to promoting football in Oyo State.
According to a statement made available by the FA Chairman, Oba Odeniran, a retired FIFA referee and recent recipient of an Honorary Doctorate in Community Development, praised the commissioner’s efforts, saying it would enhance the overall match experience and team morale.

The Oyo State government, under the leadership of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, has been actively promoting sports development in the state, including the renovation of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex. This donation is seen as part of the government’s broader efforts to elevate sports standards in Oyo State.
