PHOTOS: Distinguished Guests Flock to Bashorun Saintabey’s Inaugural Colloquium

Bashorun Saintabey hosted his inaugural colloquium, themed “Nigeria’s Path to Progress: Addressing Key Issues,” in celebration of its founder’s life. The event brought together prominent figures, experts, and stakeholders to discuss and shape the country’s future.

Renowned diplomat and expert in international relations, Amb. Dr. Kunle Awotiku, delivered a keynote address, providing valuable insights into Nigeria’s progress and offering practical solutions to the nation’s challenges.

A panel discussion featuring Hon. Deji Ola, Special Assistant on Political Matters to Governor Seyi Makinde; Dr. Sanmi Bamidele, CEO of Royal Boat Entertainment Cruise; and other esteemed panelists provided a platform for in-depth analysis and debate on key issues affecting Nigeria’s progress.

Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, graced the event as the special guest of honour, sharing her perspectives on the role of youth in shaping Nigeria’s future. Engr. Akeem Olatunji, Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, served as the “Father of the Day,” providing leadership and guidance throughout the proceedings.

A host of distinguished individuals graced the colloquium, including Honourable Oladebo Ibrahim Simple, Vice Chairman of Egbeda Local Government; Arc. Salaam Azeez, Personal Assistant to Aare Musulumi, Edo and Delta State; Dr. Mrs. Taiwo Olajide, Admission Officer of The Polytechnic Ibadan; Comr. Simeon Ibekwe, Chairman, Medical Health Workers and Practitioners in UCH; and prominent PDP chieftains such as Honourable Abiodun Baruwa, Honourable Oluyedun, Honourable Amole, and Hon. Adelowo Michael,Honourable Waliy Oluyedun, Sensational Journalist, Henry Odeh, Mrs Ifedola Kazum alongside eminent scholars from Polytechnics and Universities.

Other notable attendees included esteemed scholars and professionals like Dr. Adisa Yemisi, Dr. Adio Abdulwasiu, and Dr. Remi Agbenla, Amb. Adeyemioba Ademoy Muyideen, among others. Their presence underscored the significance of the colloquium and the impact of the discussions on Nigeria’s progress. Renowned On-Air Personality Mariam Oni skillfully moderated the discussion, bringing her expertise and charisma to the forefront.

The colloquium is part of the Bashorun Saintabey’s efforts to promote critical thinking, dialogue, and collaboration in addressing Nigeria’s challenges. The institute, recently launched as Edutorch Institute, is committed to promoting education, research, and community development.
