PDP National Convention Expels Wike, Anyanwu, Ajibade, Fayose, Nwachukwu, Others Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

Ibadan, Oyo State — In a decisive effort to strengthen party unity and reposition its structure ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the expulsion of several prominent members at its ongoing 2025 National Convention in Ibadan.

Those affected include former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, legal luminary Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN), former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, Hon. Austin Nwachukwu, among others.

The motion for their expulsion, reportedly driven by concerns over persistent anti-party activities and internal sabotage, received overwhelming approval from the convention delegates, marking one of the party’s boldest disciplinary actions in recent years.

Party leaders say the move signals a renewed determination to enforce discipline, rebuild trust, and eliminate factors that have hindered the PDP’s cohesion and electoral strength.
