On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the French Embassy in Lagos received representatives of Razel-Bec, a subsidiary of the FAYAT Group—one of Europe’s largest construction conglomerates—and the Harrison Alonge Foundation, Nigeria, for high-level discussions on potential construction partnerships.
The delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of Harrison Alonge Foundation, Mr Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA) with Mr. Frédéric Bourgault and Madame Karin, representative of Razel-Bec Investment Group of companies.
In a statement issued by the Foundation’s Media Coordinator, Comrade Olawale Ogunyebi, Razel-Bec presented proposals on underground automatic metro rail systems and other major construction projects. The meeting also explored possible facilitation channels, including the supportive role of the French Embassy in logistics coordination and the transportation of heavy construction equipment into Nigeria through France.

Officials of the French Embassy welcomed the proposals and expressed readiness to engage relevant Nigerian authorities, while also highlighting the technical expertise of the FAYAT Group and potential areas of collaboration.
The meeting marked another step toward strengthening Franco-Nigerian cooperation in sustainable infrastructure development.
