Strengthening Global Partnerships: Harrison Alonge Foundation and French Business Leaders Tour Dangote Refinery
The Harrison Alonge Foundation (HAF), in collaboration with its French business partners, on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Dangote Refinery, Lagos, as part of its ongoing five-day official visit to Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Foundation’s Media Coordinator, Comrade Olawale Ogunyebi.
The delegation was led by the Chief Executive Officer of the Harrison Alonge Foundation, Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA), alongside his French business partners, including Mr. Frédéric Bourgault and Madame Karin.
The visit formed part of an official tour of the refinery’s expansive industrial complex.
During the visit, the delegation toured several key sections of the facility, including the jetty (marine terminal), fertilizer plant, power generation plant, storage and processing units, as well as other major operational and support facilities within the refinery.
Speaking during the tour,the Chief Executive Officer Harrison Alonge Foundation,Harrison Olaniyi Alonge (HOA) commended the visionary leadership behind the Dangote Refinery, describing it as a landmark industrial achievement. He noted that the project stands as a model of excellence and innovation that governments across Africa, including Nigeria, should emulate.
The Ekiti born business mogul further described Alhaji Aliko Dangote as a role model whose unwavering commitment to industrial development has significantly repositioned Africa on the global economic map.
In his remarks,Mr Frédéric Bourgault, the French nationale business mogul and Director FAYAT Group of Companies,one of the largest construction group of companies in Europe urged the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Lagos State Government to continue to view the Dangote Refinery management as strategic partners in national development.
He emphasized the need for supportive policies, including considerate tax regimes, to ensure the sustainability of the multi-billion-dollar project.
“This is a fantastic industrial investment of global significance, and it must be sustained through deliberate government support and collaboration,” Bourgault stated.
Other personalities on the entourage including; Miss Victoria Ojolowo ,French Interpreter,Press Men,and security Agents among others important personalities.
The visit provided the delegation with firsthand insight into the refinery’s vast infrastructure, advanced technological capacity, and large-scale industrial operations.
