Birthday celebration: Hon D-Al-Ameen Empowers Constituents, Lights Up Communities, Declares 2027 Rep Ambition

Ibadan — The member representing Ibadan North-West State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Aare Hon. (Dr) Dawood Olalere, popularly known as D-Al-Ameen, on Monday celebrated his birthday in grand style with a Large-Scale Empowerment Programme for residents of his constituency.

The lawmaker marked the occasion by empowering 16 Market Associations with Cash Support and Solar-Powered Lights, while more than 150 Beneficiaries drawn from across the constituency received financial assistance ranging from ₦20,000 to ₦100,000 to strengthen their economic independence.

Beneficiaries of the empowerment programme included members of the Community Development Council (CDC), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ibadan North-West Muslim Community, League of Imams and Alfas, ARTISANS, PROTAANS, Market Groups, Political Party Members and Other Residents from different communities within the constituency.

In addition to the cash support, Hon. Olalere announced the distribution of Solar-Powered Street Lights across all wards in Ibadan North-West, describing the initiative as part of his commitment to improving security and enhancing community development.
Speaking at the well-attended event, the lawmaker reaffirmed his passion for service and people-centred leadership.

“My dear people, leadership is not about position, it is about service. It is not about personal gain, but about collective progress. Every achievement recorded so far is a reminder that when leadership is anchored on sincerity and compassion, development becomes inevitable,” he said.

He added that his mission remained to “keep empowering lives, illuminating communities and strengthening hope.”

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, the Community Development Council (CAN) Chairman Elder J.K Dumoye, who said;”This is a needed gift at the most needed time. We are grateful to Hon. D-Al-Ameen for his benevolence and thoughtfulness.’ Wishing him continued success and divine guidance in his political endeavours and declared their full support to Hon. D-Al-Ameen 2027 Ambition.

The celebration attracted several notable personalities, including Alhaji Chief Nureni Akanbi, Alhaja Abosede Adedibu, former Ibadan South-West Chairman Hon. Tajudeen Abass Aleshinloye, Dr. Remi Ayodele, Hon. Abiola Ayorinde, Hon. Tajudeen Banker, Alhaji Taofeek Olarenwaju (OLYD), Hon. Wale Afolabi, Hon. Demola Adeleke, Hon. Akeem Obadara, Hon. Kazeem Fantola, Hon. In a closing prayer, Hon. Olalere said, “May Almighty Allah bless our constituencies, bless Oyo State, bless our leaders, and bless every home.”

Highlight of the event was the formal declaration by the lawmaker of his intention to seek a higher office. Hon. Olalere announced that he would contest the Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections, pledging to extend his people-oriented representation to the national level.
