The events, which took place at the First Baptist Church, Ago Amodu in Saki-East and at the First Baptist Church in Tede, Atisbo LG, were attended by CAN leaders and representatives from various communities within the two local governments. The gatherings provided an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the lawmaker and the Christian community, spreading festive cheer and promoting unity ahead of Christmas.
Hon. Wale, who is presently the Chairman of the House Committee on Health, was represented at the events by his political aides: Mr. Jimoh O. Oladoja, Hon. Abioye Jacob (former Secretary of Saki-East LG), Hon. Adeniyi Sarafadeen Yomi (Supervisory Councilor for Saki-East), and Prince Thomas Alao. The gatherings also saw the presence of the local CAN chapter’s executive members.
During both events, Hon. Wale Canada presented cash gifts to the CAN leadership, emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration within the community, especially during the festive season. In his message, he reassured the gathering of his ongoing commitment to their welfare and stated that the gesture was just the beginning of more support to come.
In response, Pastor Elijah, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Saki-East LG Chapter, and Pastor Wale Taiwo, Chairman of the CAN Sepeteri Community, expressed their heartfelt appreciation for Hon. Wale’s generosity. They prayed for his long life, continued success in governance, and good health.
Similarly, in Atisbo, Ap J. Oyebisi James Oyewumi, Chairman of CAN Atisbo LG, conveyed the community’s gratitude on behalf of the members and beneficiaries. Rev. Tunde Kehinde also expressed appreciation and offered prayers for Hon. Wale’s continued prosperity.
