Ibadan, Oyo State – Hon. Saminu Rilwan Gbadamosi, popularly known as Wale Canada, Chairman of the House Committee on Health at the Oyo State House of Assembly, played a pivotal role in the official release of the 2024 Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH+N) Scorecard. The event, which was held by the Oyo State Ministry of Health, also witnessed the launch of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) Handbook, both of which are aimed at assessing healthcare progress and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery across the state.
Hon. Gbadamosi’s presence at the event highlighted his continued advocacy for improved healthcare in Oyo State, where he has been a strong voice in the legislature. His participation not only underscored the importance of healthcare initiatives but also reinforced the legislative support that drives key healthcare policies in the state.
The event was attended by key figures, including Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, and Chairman of the Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, along with top government officials and health sector leaders.
In her address, Dr. Ajetunmobi emphasized the significance of the RMNCAH+N Scorecard, which is designed to evaluate the state’s progress on maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health, and nutrition indicators.
