Suspended Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday made his first public appearance after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in the state.
recall that Fubara, alongside his deputy, Professor Ngozi Odu and members of the State House of Assembly were suspended by President Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast last Tuesday.
Fubara was sighted at the global headquarters of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt in Sunday where he had gone for the Sunday service.
We observed that the suspended governor, who arrived at the Church at about 10am, came in a six-car convoy and was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie, amid a routine of security aides.
Recall that there had been concerns about the whereabout and safety of Governor Fubara after the declaration of the state of emergency in the state on Tuesday night, with many claiming that he relocated to the Bayelsa State Government House in Yenagoa.
But, speaking with our Correspondent, the suspended Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, said he Fubara safe and doing well.
Chukwudi said: “Forget about what you are reading on social media. The governor is safe and doing well.”
