Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-A.A (BASA), a leading 2027 Oyo State Governorship hopeful, pays a heartfelt tribute to the late statesman, describing him as a revered Nigerian elder statesman and a fantastic former Governor of Oyo State.
In a message made available to newsmen on Sunday, BASA described the late Olunloyo as one of Nigeria’s brightest minds and a respected elder statesman.
“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo, a remarkable Nigerian statesman and former Oyo State Governor, who left us at 89. He was a shining example of leadership, patriotism, and intellectual brilliance, renowned for his mathematical prowess. His passing is a significant loss for Nigeria, and I pray his legacy continues to inspire us. May he rest in peace.”
