The Honourable member representing Ibadan Northwest State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Dawood Akanni Olalere (D-Al-Ameen), has warmly welcomed all Ummahs back to Oyo State, Nigeria, following the successful completion of their Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land of Mecca.
Dr. Olalere expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the pilgrims journey mercies, sound health, and the spiritual strength to complete all rites of Hajj without incident. He congratulated them on the fulfillment of this sacred obligation and prayed that Allah accept their supplications, sacrifices, and acts of worship.
In a release through the SoroSoke Media, the lawmaker urged all returning pilgrims to continue living in the spirit of purity, discipline, and devotion exhibited during their time in Mecca.
“Let the lessons of Hajj reflect in your daily lives; humility, patience, sacrifice, and unwavering faith. Oyo State and Nigeria at large need your continuous prayers for peace, progress, and unity,” he noted.
Hon. Olalere also used the opportunity to sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for the overwhelming support extended to Oyo pilgrims. According to him, the welfare, logistics, and overall care provided by the state government throughout the Hajj period were second to none.
“Governor Makinde once again showed his love for the people. Our pilgrims witnessed extraordinary support and comfort at every stage, a reflection of his genuine leadership and compassion,” he added.
Special appreciation was also extended to the Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Sheikh Hashim Olamide Wahab Atere, for organizing a seamless, safe, and spiritually uplifting Hajj experience. Dr. Olalere commended the board’s coordination, transparency, and tireless efforts in ensuring that every pilgrim was well cared for.
“Sheikh Atere and his team deserve accolades for a job well done. The Hajj operation was well-managed, peaceful, and inspiring. This is the kind of excellence we must sustain,” he stated.
As the pilgrims settle back into their lives, Hon. Dr. Dawood Akanni Olalere calls on them to serve as moral examples in their communities and remain steadfast in praying for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Oyo State and Nigeria.
