The Angel of Christ Gospel Church Inc. drew thousands of worshippers to its annual Dasoromi Convention 2025, a spiritually charged week-long event themed “The Chief Cornerstone,” inspired by Ephesians 2:20. Held at the Dasoromi Oluwa Prayer City, Isale Oremeji, Agugu, Ibadan, the convention ran from Monday, June 23, to Sunday, June 29, culminating in a grand Thanksgiving Service.
Now in its 12th year, the convention marked a significant milestone for the Dasoromi Oluwa Ministry, under the leadership of Prophet Samuel Samiye Olabode, General Overseer of the church. Addressing thousands of faithful, Prophet Samiye urged church leaders to remain rooted in Christ, emphasizing the need for unwavering faith and leadership.
“We pastors need to be steadfast in order to avoid our sheep from backsliding from Christ,” he declared during his sermon.
Reflecting on the ministry’s journey, he added:
“It has not been ‘Me Samiye’ these 12 years, but GOD. I urge us all to keep trusting in Him.”
This year’s convention featured dynamic praise and worship sessions, testimonies of transformation, and powerful ministrations by top gospel ministers and artists. Prophet Samiye expressed deep gratitude to all who contributed to the event’s success.
Among the spiritual leaders and gospel artists in attendance were Prophet Akinbiyi Mark, Dr. Lanre Teriba, and Apostle Elijah Akintunde (Olorun o Sobe). The altar also welcomed renowned gospel acts including Adegbodu Twins, Mama Praise, Tobi Special, Ola Best, and Basit Ogooluwa. The event was anchored by award-winning compère MC Obama, whose energetic presence added to the celebration.
In a moment of reflection, Prophet Samiye remarked:
“He who betrays Glory doesn’t last long. Always celebrate Glory whenever you see one.”
The convention was also graced by notable dignitaries including the Chairman of PDP Chairmen in Oyo State, the Ibadan NorthWest Supervisory Councillor for Works, and the Distinguished Special Assistant to the Local Government Chairman.
Prophet Samiye extended his heartfelt appreciation to church members at home and abroad for their continued support and commitment to the vision of the ministry.
