(Dr.) Dawood Akanni Olalere, popularly known as D-Al-Ameen has risen through the ranks of public service and grassroots development,but not only earned him admiration but has also revitalized the true meaning of “SoroSoke” a Yoruba phrase for speaking boldly and taking decisive actions in a public space.

SoroSoke is not just a slogan; it is a symbol of assertive leadership and people-oriented advocacy. For D-Al-Ameen, it encapsulates his unwavering commitment to service, integrity, and progress.

Dr. Dawood Olalere, a medical laboratory expert and founder of one of the Oyo State’s top diagnostic centers; “D-Al-Ameen” is a blend of professional excellence and political reliability.

Hon. D-Al-Ameen, a lawmaker representing the good People of Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency at the 10th Oyo State House of Assembly, has utilized his two years and few months in office to redefine representation through impactful community engagements. From health outreaches to educational support, financial empowerment, religious community upliftment, and infrastructural inputs across the eleven (11) Wards of Ibadan NorthWest, he has walked the talk.

  5. Renovation of Transformer at Ward (5) Alapa Olorisaoko Area, Oopo Ibadan.
  6. Installation of Twenty Four (24) Solar Powered Light at Ward (6) Abebi Area.
  7. Facilitates the Construction of Boreholes at Sacred Heart Secondary School and NW5 Primary School of Ward (8) Omitowoju Area.
  8. Installation of Twenty Seven (27) Solar Power Light at Ward (7), Ekotedo Area.
  9. Massive Contribution in more than 200 programs both Religious, Community and Education Impact across Ibadan Northwest State Constituency.
  10. Repair of the transformer at St. Patrick, Ward 6 Abebi Area.

Despite his achievements within a short period of time, his humility and loyalty to the party, PDP and its leadership has further distinguished him out for greater heights.

  • Empowered over Forty-five (65) people with Cash of Fifty Thousand Naira (#50,000) to boost their businesses.
  • Empowered over Six Hundred (600) people with Cash of Twenty Thousand Naira each (#20,000).
  • Computer Literacy Training and Graduation of 88 Graduates.
  • Provision of School Uniforms, Bags, Shoes and Other Viable School Equipments for out of School Children at St. Joseph Primary School Abebi Area.
  • Provision of Maker Boards to Ebenezer Primary School, Salvation Army Area.
  • Distribution of Exercise Books for Public Schools across Ibadan Northwest Constituency.
  • Cash Support to Trade Men and Artisan of Ibadan Northwest Chapter.
  • Organized Tutorial Assistance Session for Qualified SUBEB and TESCOM candidates.
    Through his advocacy, More than 100 people from his Constituency, Ibadan Northwest were employed into Oyo State civil service across different MDAs, such as; Amotekun, Oyo State Hospital Management Board, SUBEB, OYRTMA, TESCOM and more.

In the hallowed chambers of the State Assembly, Hon D-Al-Ameen has proven himself an astute legislator — deliberate, articulate, and purpose-driven. His motions and bills reflect the pulse of his constituents and the priorities of modern governance.

Legislative Assignment

  • Moved a motion to Sensitize the Public on Food Safety and Dangers of Addi g Some Unhealthy Ingredients to Cooking.
  • Co-Sponsor a motion on constructions of Pedestrian Bridges at Strategies Junction Across the Ibadan Metropolis Portions of Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.
  • Contributed to the quick reading of the Blood Transfusion Bill.
  • Moved a motion for the Executive Arm of Government to Beef Up Security in all Oyo State Schools.
  • Co-Sponsor a motion on an Intense Condemnation of Acts of Terrorism and Treason Display by Some Suspected Agitators of the Yoruba Nation at Oyo State Secretariat Ibadan.
  • Moved a motion to Establish Drug Test as Mandatory Part of the Recruitment Process for Prospective Government Employees.
  • Moved a motion to Regulate activities of Metal Scavengers (Bola) to prevent Infrastructure Vandalism and Enhance Security.
  • Moved a motion to Install a Tracking Device on all Security Patrol Vehicles in Oyo State.
    Participate massively in House Plenary and House Committees (95%).

Now, as 2027 approaches, a new tide is rising. The people of Ibadan NorthWest and Ibadan SouthWest united by common aspirations and shared developmental goals are calling for the SoroSoke spirit to ascend to the next level: The Federal House of Representatives.

This constituency, comprising 23 vibrant wards, deserves a representative who not only understands the challenges of the grassroots but has also demonstrated the capacity to deliver solutions. D-Al-Ameen is more than qualified. He is ready.
