BABA ALAROJINLE CELEBRATES OLOPOEYAN AT 64 WITH TRIBUTE OF HONOUR

Ibadan — The 64th birthday of Alhaji Adebisi Aremu Adeyemi, popularly known as Olopoeyan, was marked with heartfelt tributes from friends, associates, and political allies — notably from respected political figure Baba Alarojinle.

In his message, Baba Alarojinle reflected on the remarkable journey of the celebrant, describing life as a challenging but rewarding path navigated only through faith and divine grace. He noted that Olopoeyan’s longevity and accomplishments were not the product of mere smartness, but of a heart guided by goodwill and strengthened by God’s compassion.

Recalling the origin of the name “Olopoeyan,” Alarojinle narrated how the late political legend, Chief Lamidi Adedibu, coined the name after visiting Adeyemi’s Bashorun Villa unannounced and seeing a massive crowd gathered there — a scene that reminded him of a political ally from Oke-Ogun with the same nickname. Impressed by Adeyemi’s influence and popularity, Adedibu formally crowned him with the title, cementing his place in Oyo State politics.

Describing Olopoeyan as “unequalled” and “a leader worthy of celebration,” Baba Alarojinle praised his resilience, mentorship, and enduring leadership. “Your life,” he said, “has assembled all the disputations of your early years into a feast of triumph and happiness immersed in God’s boundless love.”

The tribute concluded with warm wishes for continued health and a legacy that will inspire generations.
