IBN By-Election: PDP Will Reclaim Remaining Lost Grounds in 2027 – Hon. D-Al-Ameen Congratulates Oyekunle ‘Don’, Commends Gov. Makinde

The Honourable Member representing Ibadan Northwest State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dawood Akanni Olalere D-Al-Ameen, has expressed confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is on course to reclaim all remaining lost grounds in Oyo State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. D-Al-Ameen stated this while congratulating Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as “Don,” on his emphatic victory at the just concluded Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.

He commended Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership, which he described as the bedrock of PDP’s political strength and growing popularity across the state.

According to the lawmaker, Oyekunle’s victory is not only a well-deserved triumph but also a reflection of the confidence reposed in the Makinde-led administration by the people of Oyo State.

“The outcome of the Ibadan North bye-election is a loud statement from the people. It is proof that the PDP remains the party of the people, delivering good governance and people-oriented policies. By 2027, with the continued achievements of our governor, the PDP will reclaim all senatorial seats and federal constituencies currently in opposition hands,” Hon. D-Al-Ameen said.

While describing Governor Makinde as a true political ladder who has raised and empowered many leaders, the lawmaker affirmed that Hon. Oyekunle’s success was inevitable given the outstanding performance of the current administration in all sectors of governance.

He further urged Hon. Oyekunle ‘Don’ to justify the overwhelming trust of the people by delivering quality representation at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.

Hon. D-Al-Ameen also congratulated the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Seun Olufade, and the PDP leadership in the council for their strategic role in reclaiming the federal constituency seat.

He called on party members across the state to remain united, disciplined, and forward-looking ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that the PDP is determined to sustain its dominance in Oyo State politics.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday declared Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle ‘Don’ winner of the Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election after he recorded an overwhelming victory against his closest rival, Adewale Olatunji of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
