Happy Independence Day to our dear nation, Nigeria!
On this day, as we commemorate the birth of our sovereignty, I join millions of our citizens in giving thanks to Almighty God for the journey so far. Indeed, sixty-four years of nationhood have come with trials, triumphs, sacrifices, and resilience. We remain a people bound by destiny, courage, and the eternal hope of a greater tomorrow.
I pray that this Independence anniversary rekindles in us the true spirit of patriotism, unity, and service. May God in His infinite mercy continue to guide our leaders aright, grant them wisdom to lead with justice and compassion, and strengthen our institutions to uphold fairness, equity, and truth.
May the labour of our heroes past never be in vain, and may our youths find renewed strength to dream and achieve beyond limitations. I pray for peace in every corner of our land, progress in our economy, stability in our politics, and joy in every Nigerian home.
As we raise our flags high today, may Nigeria rise into her full potential — a land flowing with prosperity, opportunities, and greatness. May we all never lose faith in our collective destiny, for there is more to be done for our people, and together, with God’s help, we shall succeed.
