2027: OYO STATE APC GUBER ASPIRANT, DR. ADEWALE KOLAPO KAREEM (AKK), ARRIVES IN UK AHEAD OF TOWN HALL MEETING, BOOK LAUNCH, AND FUNDRAISING ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2025, AT FIRMAN HALL, HARRIS ACADEMY, LONDON — ANNOUNCES IBADAN EDITION FOR JANUARY 2026.
My dear friends, supporters, and the good people of Oyo State and global admirers, I am thrilled to share that the series of Meet and Greet, Book Launch, and Fundraising events is progressing steadily, building on the momentum from our pioneering gathering. We are expanding on this initiative, and I must emphasise that the Oyo State edition holds a special place in my heart. It is the most prime and important, as this is the state I aspire to serve as Governor under the All Progressives Congress (APC). It has been scheduled for January 2026, and a specific date is to be announced momentarily. This event will be a comprehensive opportunity to engage directly with our people at home. I appreciate the love and support from everyone, and the thirst I sense for these interactions motivates me deeply. I cannot wait to connect with you all in person and to share my vision more closely with you.
I must say again that the pioneer event in Australia was a resounding success. It set a high standard with its enthusiastic turnout and meaningful discussions. Another engagement in Australia is slated for October 25, 2025, where we will continue to build partnerships and gather insights from our diaspora community. In the next couple of days, I look forward to the event in the United Kingdom on October 11, 2025—I just landed in London today, Friday, October 3, 2025, in preparation. I invite our people in the UK to join us for a session of brainstorming and thought-sharing because your perspectives are invaluable to shaping our collective goals.
It is fundamental to state that plans for other countries are underway, including visits to America, Canada, and beyond, to ensure we reach as many supporters as possible. These global engagements are designed to advance dialogue on governance, development, and progress, more particularly, to draw from the diverse experiences of Nigerians abroad. Additionally, I look forward to visiting other states in Nigeria for similar interactions and to expand our network and strengthening our message.
I understand there are countries we have yet to visit, and I assure you that arrangements are progressing to make those happen soon. For me, each of these events is an opportunity to explore potential partnerships, convey my ideological reasoning on governance, and highlight how my approach will bring needed change to Oyo State. To my people in Oyo State, rest assured that the January 2026 event in Ibadan will be elaborate, and it’ll be followed by comprehensive engagements across the state to address your concerns directly. Your patience and enthusiasm mean the world to me, and I am committed to making these interactions impactful.
I remain optimistic about the road ahead, and I know that our shared aspirations will continue to set the path for us to success.
