
The Honourable Member representing Ibadan NorthWest State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Akanni Olalere, popularly known as D-Al-Ameen, has commended the unwavering dedication and resilience of Oyo State farmers and other key stakeholders in ensuring sustainable food production, as the world marks the 2025 World Food Day.
Speaking as a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, Dr. Olalere joined other committee members, led by the Chairman, Hon. Ojedokun, at the World Food Day celebration organized by the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In his message, D-Al-Ameen praised farmers across the state for their consistent contributions to food security, describing them as “true heroes of Oyo State’s progress.”

“Our amiable, resilient, dedicated, and innovative farmers continue to inspire us. May this year’s World Food Day rekindle in us the spirit of collaboration and innovation as we work together for better food and a better future,” he said.

He further reaffirmed the commitment of the Oyo State House of Assembly to enacting motions and supporting policies that promote agricultural productivity under the leadership of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Debo Ogundoyin.

“Without doubt, the Oyo State Government and the State Assembly have adopted a progressive approach to agricultural development—through subsidies, input support, farmer training, infrastructure development, and institutional strengthening,” he added.
Dr. D-Al-Ameen concluded by saluting all farmers who remain central to the state’s food security agenda, describing them as “heroes feeding our nation.”
