OLUBADAN: At Last Ladoja Receives Ceremonial Beaded Crown Today

The imbroglio over legality of beaded crown will finally put to rest as last man standing, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja who refused to be crown when late former Governor Abiola Ajimobi revisited the need to have beaded crown monarchs in Ibadan will wear his own with joy on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The High Chief Rashidi Ladoja who is Otun Olubadan and next in line to throne in a radio programme expressed his acceptance and readiness to wear beaded crown as a prerequisite to mount Olubadan stool.

A source obtained by the Nation said Ladoja received the letter notifying him of the development at the weekend.

The source added that the crown befitting of Ladoja’s status as Otun Olubadan has been presented to him at the inaugural meeting of Olubadan-in-council presided over by Oba Owolabi Olakulehin today at the new palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.
