— Management Appeals for Fans’ Patience, Says Season Is Still Young
The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has acknowledged the disappointment among supporters over the team’s recent performances, while appealing for patience and warning against violence, threats and abusive conduct directed at club officials, technical staff and players.
In a press release, the Ibadan-based club admitted that its recent results fell short of expectations, noting that the current run of form was not the start envisaged by the management and supporters.
The management expressed appreciation for the unwavering love, passion and support shown by fans, both at home and away, despite the team’s disappointing results.
It appealed to supporters to remain calm, patient and committed to the club as efforts continue to return the team to winning ways.
However, the club strongly condemned violence, intimidation, threats and verbal or physical abuse against any member of the Shooting Stars family.
According to the statement, the club would not tolerate such conduct against its management and staff, including the Executive Chairman, Sporting Director, Technical Adviser, coaches, technical personnel, players and other club members.
The management further warned that supporters found engaging in abusive or violent behaviour could face an immediate ban from attending club matches and possible referral to the appropriate authorities for prosecution.
While acknowledging the challenges facing the team, the club expressed optimism that the season remains young and that there is still much to play for.
The statement urged supporters, players, officials and other stakeholders to remain united, positive and committed to the team’s progress.
“Together, we will turn this around,” the management declared, reaffirming its appeal for continued support as Shooting Stars work to overcome their current challenges.
