WHY I HAVEN’T REMARRIED AFTER SIX YEARS –Min Dunsin Oyekan

Min dunsin Oyekan responded to a question that he has been ignoring for years ,during a recent ministration….he said .!

It’s been over six years now since my precious wife, Adedoyin, passed away on May 18, 2019. Six years of navigating life as a widower, raising our two beautiful children, and building my ministry.
And honestly, the question about remarriage has become as constant as the pressure from well-meaning friends and family members.

But today, I want to share with you openly and honestly,Why I haven’t chosen to remarry, and more importantly, why I believe God’s timing is far superior to human expectations.

I Can Only Marry One Person..!!

Let me start with this ,I am not anti-marriage. I am not afraid of commitment. And I don’t believe that marriage is a trap or a burden ,quite the opposite actually.

When I say, I can only marry one person,” I mean it literally and figuratively.
In God’s design, marriage is sacred. It’s a covenant, not a casual arrangement or a backup plan.
It’s “till death do us part,” and for me, Adedoyin will always be that person.

You see, marriage isn’t something you do because you’re lonely or because society expects it.
It’s not something you do because people question your status.
Marriage is a calling,a divine partnership that requires intentionality, spiritual alignment, and God’s unmistakable approval.

Right now, I don’t have that approval. And I’m at peace with it.

I’m 41 years old. I’m successful in my ministry. I’m a caring father to my children.
By many standards, I’m a “good catch” as they say. And yes, there have been moments when I could have pursued another relationship.
There have been opportunities and interested parties.

But I’ve learned to ask a different question..!!
Is this God’s will, or is this my will dressed up in spiritual language?

When someone asks me about remarriage in an interview, I tell them: “Let’s see what the Lord will do.

I’m not saying ,Never. I’m saying “Not yet,and only if God opens that door.

There’s a difference between those two statements, and that difference represents my entire philosophy about this season of my life.

I’m not being stubborn. I’m not being proud. I’m being obedient. And obedience sometimes means waiting.
It means staying still. It means trusting that God is not punishing me by keeping me single,He’s protecting me and preparing me for something greater.

Loneliness is not cured by another relationship. Loneliness is cured by intimacy with God.

And that intimacy is what has sustained me through these six years.
