As Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, I warmly felicitate with Nigerians at home and in the diaspora on this significant national occasion.

Independence Day is more than a celebration of our freedom; it is also an opportunity to reflect on our journey as a nation, appreciate the sacrifices of our founding fathers and renew our commitment to building a stronger, more peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

Over the past 66 years, Nigeria has experienced remarkable achievements as well as challenges. Through it all, the resilience, creativity and determination of the Nigerian people have remained a source of strength. Our diversity, when embraced with understanding and mutual respect, remains one of our greatest assets.

As we celebrate, let us continue to promote peace, unity, good governance, accountability, youth empowerment, quality education and economic opportunities for all Nigerians. The future of our nation depends greatly on the willingness of every citizen to contribute positively to its development.

Our young people, in particular, represent a significant part of Nigeria’s future. We must continue to create an environment where they can acquire relevant skills, pursue their dreams and contribute meaningfully to national development.

As we mark this 66th Independence Anniversary, let us remain hopeful and committed to a better Nigeria. Let us put aside divisions and work together for a nation where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

On behalf of myself and my family, I extend my warmest wishes to the good people of Nigeria. May our nation continue to enjoy peace, stability, progress and prosperity.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!

Signed:
Mogaji (Hon.) Olatoye Olajide “Big Daddy Sugar”
