The Member representing Ibadan Northwest State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly and ADC candidate for the Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Dawood Akanni Olalere D-Al-Ameen, has called on Nigerians to continue to uphold peace and unity as the country marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his Independence Day message, D-Al-Ameen congratulated Nigerians on the occasion, describing the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on the nation’s journey while remaining hopeful for a better future.
He urged Nigerians to continue living together in peace and unity, irrespective of ethnic, religious, political or other differences, expressing optimism that Nigeria will be great again.
According to him, the country’s future requires the collective prayers, commitment and contributions of its citizens. He therefore called on Nigerians to pray for the growth, peace and prosperity of the nation, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in building a better Nigeria.
D-Al-Ameen also urged Nigerians to pray for a successful, peaceful, free and credible 2027 general election, while encouraging citizens to approach the electoral period with tolerance, mutual respect and a commitment to national unity.
