The Director-General of the Bimbo Adekanbi Disciples, Hon. Deacon Kayode Ogunjimi, has welcomed the recent defection of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) in Oyo State.

Ogunjimi spoke on Monday while addressing journalists at the Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega Concert held at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

He expressed confidence in the electoral prospects of the APM ahead of the 2027 general elections, attributing the party’s growing acceptance to what he described as the support of the people of Oyo State.

According to him, the recent movement of political supporters into the APM is an indication of increasing acceptance of the party across the state.

Ogunjimi urged residents of Oyo State to carefully consider their choices ahead of the 2027 elections, saying voters should not “waste their votes and time” on political options that, in his view, would not sustain the development agenda of the state.

He called on the people to support APM candidates, stressing that the party represents a platform through which good governance could continue.

The APM support group leader also formally welcomed the defectors into the party and encouraged other politicians and their supporters to join the APM, assuring them of equal opportunities within the political platform.

The Boye Nation/JAF Movement Mega Concert, held under the theme “Young, United and Unstoppable (YUU),” also served as a platform for the formal reception of APC members and supporters led by Ajiboye Sangogade, popularly known as Boye Nation, into the APM.
