Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) returned to winning ways in the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with an impressive 3-1 victory over Ranchers Bees in their Matchday 9 encounter.
The Oluyole Warriors ended their five-match winless run with a determined performance, scoring three goals to secure maximum points and restore confidence among their supporters.
Desmond Ojietefian opened the scoring for Shooting Stars in the 14th minute, giving the Ibadan-based side an early advantage. However, Ranchers Bees fought back and restored parity through Isah Ndala Aliyu in the 38th minute.
With the first half approaching its conclusion, Shooting Stars regained the lead through Damilola Akinola, who found the back of the net in the 45th minute plus three minutes of added time to give the hosts a 2-1 advantage at the break.
The Oluyole Warriors continued their impressive display in the second half, with Qamar Adegoke extending their lead in the 71st minute to seal a convincing 3-1 victory.
The result represents a significant boost for Shooting Stars, who had endured a difficult spell without a win in their previous five matches. The victory provides the team with an opportunity to regain momentum as the league campaign progresses.
For Ranchers Bees, however, the defeat marks their fifth loss of the season, leaving the team with more work to do as they seek to improve their performance in the ongoing campaign.
